Breathwork & Nervous System Facilitator Certification — Bloomington, Indiana
The only GPBA-accredited training that integrates breathwork, somatic movement, continuum movement, yoga, and acupressure into one nervous system facilitation practice.
CBI Level 1 is a 9-month online certification for yoga teachers, breathwork practitioners, somatic coaches, and wellness professionals who are ready to go deeper than one modality allows. Built on polyvagal science, HRV research, and trauma-informed facilitation — with two in-person gatherings included. Open to practitioners worldwide. Founding cohort limited to 10 people.
Who this nervous system certification is for?
CBI Level 1 was built for yoga teachers who want the nervous system science behind the breath, breathwork practitioners ready to integrate polyvagal theory and somatic awareness, somatic coaches seeking a structured and accredited framework, corporate wellness professionals delivering evidence-based resilience programs, and healthcare-adjacent practitioners including nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers. If you have been looking for a breathwork and nervous system certification that is rigorous, GPBA-accredited, and designed for practitioners who take the work seriously — this is it.
What graduates of CBI Level 1 can do
After completing the full Level 1 program — across all 7 modules over 9 months — graduates hold the CBI Nervous System Facilitator Certificate and are eligible for individual GPBA Ethically Compliant Breathworker listing. They are trained to guide individual breathwork sessions with trauma-informed, polyvagal-grounded facilitation. Across the program they build foundational knowledge of somatic movement, Continuum Movement principles, yoga as a nervous system tool, and acupressure — not as separate certifications, but as integrated tools within the CBI approach to nervous system regulation. This knowledge is the beginning of a deeper integration that continues across Levels 2 through 4.
CBI does not certify graduates in Continuum Movement, yoga, or any individual modality — it certifies them in nervous system facilitation, with the integrated knowledge to work responsibly with all five modalities as tools within that framework.
